Frequently Asked Questions
The most common questions about our mold making, contract molding and CNC machining projects.
We have no strict minimum order restriction. Taking your project’s feasibility, the number of mold cavities and your unit cost targets into account, we determine the most suitable batch size together with you. For very low-volume needs, we offer CNC machining or industrial 3D printing alternatives instead of molding.
Lead times vary with the geometric complexity of the part, the slide systems, and the sourcing of special equipment such as hot runners. We present the time from design approval to the first sample (T1) as a detailed “Project Schedule” together with our quote.
T1 samples are molded after mold assembly and shipped with an inspection report; the date is set in the project schedule. After any corrections, approval is completed with T2 samples.
For molded parts, tolerance depends on resin, geometry and where the dimension sits in the tool; we reference ISO 20457 tolerance groups. Mark critical dimensions on your drawing and we’ll confirm achievability in the DFM report.
We work across a wide range, from standard polymers to high-performance engineering plastics. The main materials we process are PP, PE, ABS, PC, POM, PBT, TPE/TPU, PMMA and glass-fiber-reinforced PA6/PA66 groups. In our production we use the specific brands and grades named in the customer specification.
Yes, we start every mold project we take on with a comprehensive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis. Wall thickness variations, draft angles, undercuts and optimum gate locations are reported so that defect risks are eliminated before manufacturing. Mold-flow simulations are also included in the process when deemed necessary.
3D: STEP/STP (preferred), IGES/IGS, SLDPRT and Parasolid X_T. 2D: PDF, DWG, DXF. Upload up to 50 MB per file through the RFQ form.
We respect your intellectual property rights and corporate confidentiality at the highest level. All files you share are stored on encrypted servers, accessible only to our authorized engineers, for quoting purposes. At your request, we sign a formal mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before any file is shared.
Once fully paid, the mold is your property. We store and maintain it at our facility and mold for you; on request, we release the tool to you.
Yes, we take export orders. Parts are packed to your specification (cartons, returnable totes, pallets) with lot labels. Incoterms are stated in the quote.
Yes. After T1 approval we move into series production in the same facility; the process settings approved at sampling are recorded and every run uses them. We agree the batch size with you by part and tool, and can take on assembly and packing. If you’d rather run the tool on your own floor, we deliver it with a trial report and maintenance documentation.
Yes. Our R&D experience comes from Atelsan Enerji’s own patented products. We define the requirements with you, create the product through industrial design and 3D modeling, make it moldable with DFM and mold-flow, validate it with a prototype and turn it into tooling-ready CAD.
Mold price depends on part size and geometry, the number of cavities, the runner type (cold or hot runner) and mechanisms such as slides and lifters. Send your drawing or 3D model; we’ll review it and reply with an indicative price and design notes.
Yes. We run contract injection molding in your own mold or in one we build. Before series production we mold samples for your approval, record the approved process settings and run every batch on them.
Yes. We machine mold components, fixtures, functional prototypes and low-volume pre-series parts to your drawing in our CNC shop. We measure the first part and send it for your approval with an inspection report.
Yes. We reverse-engineer the sample into a 3D model and drawing, make the part ready for tooling and test it with a working prototype before the tooling investment.
Both. Our toolroom designs and builds the mold and our molding floor runs the parts, side by side at our facility in Tekirdağ, Türkiye. You can order the mold only, have us mold in your own tool, or give us the mold and series production together. We make the molds and the parts ourselves; we are not a trading company.
As standard: lot label and delivery note. On request we add a dimensional inspection report and the supplier certificate of analysis (CoA) for the raw material. We agree the document list at project start.
Every quote includes a project schedule with mold, sample and first-shipment dates. Packing, labeling and delivery terms follow your specification and are stated in the quote.
